2ND ANNUAL FEMME FRONTERA FILMMAKER SHOWCASE
Submit your film to Femme Frontera’s 2017 showcase! We are a showcase that celebrates women filmmakers from the U.S.-Mexico border region.
The showcase will be held on September 23rd, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Alamo Drafthouse in El Paso, Texas.
Femme Frontera is a coalition of six women filmmakers from El Paso, TX, Las Cruces, NM, and Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. We organize the annual Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase and will be having our 2nd Showcase beginning Sept. 23rd, 2017 in El Paso, TX, then going on tour and sharing the selected films across the country. We are seeking short films made by women that empower and give voice to women, immigrants, minorities, the LBGTQ community, and most especially, but not limited to, stories that take place on the U.S.-Mexico border.
The Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase welcomes short film submissions directed by women that empower and give voice to women, immigrants, minorities, the LBGTQ community, and/or most especially, but not limited to, stories that take place on the U.S.-Mexico border.
For 2017, priority will be granted to filmmakers from the El Paso, Las Cruces, and Juarez border region as well as films whose subject matter is about or takes place along the U.S.-Mexico border. We encourage submissions from both emerging as well as established filmmakers.
Please note that films must be directed by women to be considered for FFFS.
Submissions are now closed for 2017. They will re-open in Spring 2018.
